Josie Labs Pty Ltd (“Josie Labs”, “we”) develops Josie tools that help Australian online sellers manage orders, listings, stock, and messages on platforms like eBay. We comply with:

• the eBay Developers Program API License Agreement (2025 Revision),
• the Australian Privacy Act 1988 (Privacy Principles), and
• applicable international data transfer laws.

2. Information We Collect

a) From Josie users

• Name, email address, and account identifiers
• Business details you provide (optional)
• Usage telemetry and product analytics (to improve Josie)

b) From eBay (via approved APIs)

• Orders and fulfilment data (order IDs, timestamps, totals, shipping details)
• Listing and inventory data (SKUs, titles, quantities, prices, categories)
• Messaging metadata needed to automate buyer updates (where applicable)
• Fees / payout / finance-related details where available and authorised

c) What we do not collect

• We do not collect your eBay password.
• We do not sell your data.

3. How We Use Data

• To provide Josie features (pricing, profit, orders, inventory, listings, messaging).
• To calculate recommendations and insights (e.g., Smart Pricing guidance).
• To support customer service and troubleshoot issues.
• To comply with legal obligations and eBay Developer Program requirements.

4. Data Storage & Security

• We use encryption in transit (TLS) and best-practice access controls.
• Access is limited to authorised personnel and service roles.
• We retain data only as long as needed to provide the service and meet obligations.

5. Sharing & Disclosure

We may share data only when needed to operate the service or meet compliance requirements, including:

• Infrastructure providers (hosting, logging, analytics) under confidentiality.
• eBay, where required for API compliance or audits.
• Legal requests where we are required by law to disclose.

6. eBay Relationship

• Josie is an independent application developed by Josie Labs Pty Ltd.
• We are not owned, operated, endorsed by, or affiliated with eBay Inc.
• Your use of eBay remains governed by eBay’s own agreements and policies.

7. User Control & Revocation

You may:

• Revoke Josie access any time at My eBay → Account → Site Preferences → Third-Party App Access.
• Request data deletion by emailing dev@josieapp.com.au.
• Receive confirmation of removal within 10 business days.

8. International Transfers

While data is stored primarily in Australia, transient processing through eBay’s global API network may occur. Josie Labs relies on eBay’s approved data-transfer mechanisms and comparable protections to the Australian Privacy Principles.

9. Children’s Privacy

Josie is not intended for individuals under 18 years of age or for personal (non-business) eBay accounts.

10. Changes to This Policy

If we update our data handling practices or if eBay updates its Developer Program terms, we will post the revision here with a new effective date.
